You will be met on arrival and transferred to the hotel.

Today you will have full day excursion of Mumbai visiting Gateway of India. Here you will board on boat for an excursion to Elephanta Caves (remains closed on Mondays). A rock elephant on the courtyard at the mouth of one of the caves welcomes the visitors. The island was christened Elephanta by the Portuguese because of this elephant. The caves are adorned with huge larger-than-life sculptures depicting Hindu mythological figures.
Afternoon city tour includes visit to – the great port city with its Victorian Gothic buildings from the British Raj Era mingling with the modern. The tour includes Gateway of India overlooking the Harbour, the Towers of Silence, Marine Drive, the Colaba Causeway – the commercial heart of Bombay and the Dhobi Ghat, the unique and colourful outdoor ‘laundry’. Drive up to the Malabar Hill to the lovely Hanging Gardens and the Kamla Nehru Park from where you will get a wonderful view of Mumbai and the Arabian Sea, spread out before you. Also visit Mani Bhawan, a small museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi, and the bustling Crawford Market.

Today you will enjoy the excursion to the Kanheri Caves, a group of rock–cut ancient caves located in Borivali in Mumbai. En route we will pass green forests of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. The caves are located deep inside, about 6 km from the entrance of the national park.
Kanheri Caves have a great influence of the Buddhism religion and they display the Buddhist angle on the art and culture of India. The word Kanheri is derived from the Sanskrit word Krishnagiri, which means Black Mountain. These caves were created by chiselling a massive basalt rock dated from 1st century BC to 10th century BC. There are around 109 caves carved from the basalt rock. The hall of the caves contains the Stupa, which is a Buddhist shrine.
In the evening, you will have free time to explore the city on your own.

You will be transferred to the airport in time to connect your flight for Aurangabad.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel.
This afternoon, you will be given a sightseeing tour of Ellora Caves (remains closed on Tuesdays) (30 km / approx. 1 hour drive). The Ellora Caves, 34 in number, are carved into the sides of a basaltic hill, 30 km from Aurangabad. The finest specimens of Buddhist cave–temple architecture, they house elaborate facades and exquisitely adorned interiors.
Afternoon back and check in at hotel. Later visit Bibi Ka Maqbara, Panchakki and other famous tourist places.

Today you will have a full-day excursion to Ajanta Caves (remains closed on Mondays) (110 km / approx. 3 hours drive). Ajanta cave shrines are cut out of rock by hand and rank among some of the most outstanding specimens of ancient Buddhist Indian architectural heritage. The 29 caves were built as secluded retreats for the Buddhist monks, who taught and performed rituals in the Chaityas and Viharas, the ancient seats of learning and nerve-centres of the Buddhist cultural movement.
Later in time transfer to airport to connect flight for Mumbai. In Mumbai, you will be met on arrival and transferred to the hotel.
