DAY 01: DELHI – RISHIKESH BY ROAD / FLIGHT
Arrive Rishikesh by road (245 km / approx 5-6 hrs drive) OR Arrive Dehradun by flight (55 min) and drive to Rishikesh (20 km / approx 40 min drive).
Upon arrival at Rishikesh, check-in at hotel. Every day at evening aarti starts from 1800-1900 hrs with chanting of some mantras, singing of bhajans, prayers and the sacred ritual that take place around a fire, with the aid made to Agni, the god of fire. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 02: IN RISHIKESH
After breakfast, city sightseeing tour of Rishikesh which stands for the “plaits of the sage”. It is a place of ashrams where solace seekers come to spend their time in serenity of God. Also visit the Lakshman Jhoola, an iron suspension bridge over holy river Ganga in Rishikesh. A famous landmark place in Rishikesh, Lakshman Jhula has 450 feet length connecting Pauri district with Tehri district. Rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 03: RISHIKESH – HARIDWAR – RISHIKESH BY ROAD
After breakfast, drive to Haridwar (25 km / approx 45 min drive). Upon arrival at Haridwar, check-in at hotel. Later city tour of Haridwar which means “Gateway to God”. It is essentially a Hindu pilgrim town with temples, hermitages and dharamshalas along the banks of the river Ganga. Also visit Har-ki-Pauri (footprints of God) the most popular bathing ghats which has a footprint of Lord Vishnu, the Hindu God of preservation, on stone. Rest of the day at leisure. Every day at evening aarti starts from 1800-1900 hrs and at morning it start at 0530-0630 hrs at Har-ki-Pauri. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 04: RISHIKESH – DELHI BY ROAD / FLIGHT
After breakfast, drive to Delhi (245 km / approx 5-6 hrs drive) OR drive to Dehradun airport to connect flight for Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi, transfer to your airport to connect flight for onward destination.
